A friend from Connecticut has come to visit

This is an old friend of mine who used to hang out in the pool with me when I was growing up. Recently, we arrived home to find a brown package waiting at the front door.

Imagine our surprise when we saw what was inside!

How nice of Pop Pop to pay for his trip down to live with us on the lake.

I'm sure it's taken a bit getting used to as he spent the first part of his life living in a pool in New England.

I'm sure he'll have fun living out his golden years lakefront in Florida.

Isn't that what the snowbirds do?

Jack & Kate are sure having a blast with him.

Before they even realized he could float, the loved jumping on him in the grass.

On Easter, he ventured into the lake and was a huge hit!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter wishes to everyone. Jack & Kate had a great time with the Easter Egg Hunt. Jack, with the wisdom of his 3 years wasted no time changing into his "running shoes" and Batman shirt (supplied by the Easter Bunny), his church clothes cast aside in favor of something faster. Kate, more deliberate and cautious - needed a bit more encouragement to venture out on her search. Much of what she collected was cast aside by her brother as he searched for the cool eggs with the matchbox cars inside; Kate's bucket was filled with Little Ponies and Princesses.

All in all - a fun time was had by everyone!

Kate & Grandpa

Sweet Kate suprised everyone recently by just climbing up into her Grandpa's lap. She is usually extremely choosey about who she'll sit with (rarely anyone) when her #1 (me) is around. She even hung out there for a while... long enough for me to snap a photo.
