Kate seems confused too...

Jack's new favorite show is about a boy named Diego (he is watching it with Kate in the photo above). It may be called "Go Diego Go"... I forget. I know what channel it's on, and I know to record it for Jack because it's on after his bedtime. Anyway, prior to be figuring all of this out, I too had been confused. I had been trying to understand why, instead of watching Dora the Explorer before bed, Jack kept asking for a waffle. Or at least, that is what I thought he was doing. Turns out, Jack was not asking for an Eggo.... he was asking for his friend (as he calls him) Diego. It was only when he started saying "Go Eggo Go" and "gotta hurry mommy, gotta save baby Jaguar" that I realized he probably was not talking about a waffle...

Question Answered

Scott & I have long wondered when Jack's first trip to the ER would be. When he started walking, we nicknamed him "danger" and have waited and wondered what he would be doing when he sustained his first serious injury. Would it be from jumping off his play set? falling off his bike, running in the house, jumping on his bed... etc. Well today, the question was answered.

He was walking down the hall at preschool... Not the makings of a good story, but the truth.

Anyway, that part was boring (trip and fall). The aftermath was somewhat comical. I realized I had no idea where one takes a small child for stitches when it does not appear to be an "emergency" (no gushing blood... etc.). What I learned is that not all pediatricians "stitch", and, if you take a screaming 2 year old to urgent care, you do not wait in line. You do not wait period. I had not even filled Jack's name in on the form before the Dr. was in the room & had patched Jack up.

I also learned that stickers (tattoo's) and ice cream fix everything...

Jack goes to work

Today I heard the front door unlock & then slam shut while I was putting Kate down for her morning nap. This is where I found Jack, out in our driveway, standing by the car. His explanation, Mommy, Jack going work.

Nice outfit Jack. I explained that little boys are not allowed to go outside without their Mommy or Daddy, and they definitely need to be wearing pants when they did. No mention of the gold sparkle purse. I'm not sure how that fit in with the work outfit, but, hey, he sure looks cute!

Kate learns something new

Kate suprised herself today by mastering clapping... such a simple task, yet it brings her great joy!
